Properties that have a separate irrigation meter have the option to discontinue service during the winter months to avoid minimum charges.
You will need to make the request to the Utility Department. If you choose to use a third party irrigation company for your maintenance, please make sure to coordinate the on/off process with the Utility Department. Town Ordinance states that the meter pit may only be entered into by Town staff.
In order to request service to be turned on or off, the following form must be submitted. The same form link allows you to request to discontinue in the fall and reactivate in the spring.
If your irrigation system has been winterized and a form to request the service be turned off has not been filled out, you will continue to receive a minimum bill and will be responsible for paying it until a request has been submitted to turn off the meter.
