Clean and Green Earth Day

Group of volunteers clean-up litterThis Earth Day, bring the whole family for a community clean up! Volunteer to remove trash throughout Brownsburg or remove invasive plants from Williams Park. 


After cleaning local parks, trails, and Town areas, we’ll celebrate by creating a mural with recycled items found during clean up. Trash bags and pickers will be provided.


Event Schedule (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.):

  • 9 a.m. - Teams meet at Williams Park to pick up materials and receive safety instructions. 
  • 9:30 a.m. - Trash clean up teams go to assigned areas and remove trash or invasive plants.
  • 10 a.m. - Invasive plant species teams (Weed Wrangle) go to Williams Park Splash Pad area for clean up. 
  • 11:30 a.m. - Teams return to Williams Park to deliver trash bags to the National Art Honor Society. Teams can help create a recycled art mural and learn about animal habitats through a demonstration from our Park Naturalist. 

This event is in partnership with the Hendricks County Partnership for Water Quality and State of Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management. 


Individuals, churches, civic, community, and neighborhood groups can register for the event through the form below. Teams must be registered by Monday, April 17.


Teams can be assigned to a location or may choose their own. Priority locations are any areas that drain directly to a local waterway.

Waiver & Release

Team leaders are responsible for getting waivers signed and turned in. Each team member must have a completed waiver on file.
