About the Park Board
Residents appointed to the Park Board serve an essential role as the community's voice to Town and Parks Department staff and the Town council on how to best achieve residents' parks and recreation priorities. Members work to encourage growth that helps the Town realize its overall goals, including enhancing the livability and positive image of Brownsburg. Park Board members advocate for increased open space, connectivity through Brownsburg's growing trail system, and the addition of critical parks and recreation amenities and facilities.
The Park Board is committed to providing quality parks, recreation facilities, and programs to enhance the quality of life for residents. The Park Board consists of six members: four appointed by the Town Council, one appointed by the Brownsburg Public Library, and one appointed by the Brownsburg Community School Corporation. The Park Board's primary functions are outlined in Indiana Code I.C. 36-10-3: establishing and implementing policies and objectives for effective administration and operation of park and recreation projects, facilities, programs, and services.
Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990
